Howard the Duck
Howard the Duck was "Trapped in a world he never made". He first appeared in his own comic in January 1976. #1
was created and written by Steve Gerber and illustrated by the artist Frank Brunner. Steve Leialoha inked Brunner's
pencil lines, and John Costanza lettered the script. The whole creative process was overseen by editor Marv
Wolfman.
Howard the Duck was quite a successful humorous comic lasting for three years up until #31 in 1979. The series was
completed seven years later, with the final issue being number 33 in September 1986.
